Applications that work at elevated temperatures often require the components used to be not only heat resistant but also functional. Nickel alloys like the ASTM B626 Hastelloy C22 Tube work well in such applications. First, nickel in these alloys is able to withstand very high temperatures. Second, nickel, when used as an alloy in any form i.e. ASTM B626 Welded Tube delivers a good performance, despite being exposed to elevated temperatures, where traditional steel alloys would typically fail. Though the chemistry of all nickel alloys differs, the basic nickel make-up in the chemistry is what particularly makes them resistant to heat.
Usually, heat exchanger and condenser ASME SB 626 N06022 Nickel Alloy Tubes are produced under specification ASTM B626. This specification is intended for nickel alloy tubes designed for general corrosion resistance and for heat resistance in applications. The specification makes provisions for the ASTM B626 Hastelloy C276 Welded Tube to be produced without the use of a filler metal via an automatic welding procedure. After production of the nickel alloyed ASTM B626 Hastelloy B2 ERW Tube, the furnishing may be done by subjecting them to a solution annealing process as well as a descaling one. The use of a solution annealing treatment on the material is what improves certain mechanical properties of these tubes. To check the conformance of the mechanical properties of the ASTM B626 UNS N10276 Welded Tube, it is required to undergo certain tests like tensile, yield strength and elongation test. Lastly, the other tests performed on the ASTM B626 Hastelloy Tubes include a simple chemical composition test, followed by tests like eddy current, flattening test, flange test, pneumatic test and a hydrostatic test.
