Titanium is a metal that is easily alloyed. Yet, today all across the world titanium is available in four commercially pure grades including grade 2. Stronger than grade 1, the corrosion resistance of Titanium Grade 2 Round Bar like the other three grades is similar to each other. Though in terms of mechanical strength grade 2 is slightly less strong than grade 3.

ASTM B265 Titanium Alloy Gr 2 Plate
Amongst all the commercially pure titanium alloys, the material is referred to as a workhorse. The benefits of using Titanium UNS R50400 Hexagon Bars are several. However, amongst their multiple properties, grade 2 offers a combination of high tensile strength and outstanding corrosion resistance properties, thus, making the DIN 3.7035 Welding Rods well suited to be used in many industrial applications. The corrosion resistance properties of the Titanium Grade 2 rod are particularly good in a highly oxidizing environment as it is good in mildly reducing application. Like most metals titanium is highly ductile and could be beaten into many shaped bars including much trickier ones like round, oval as well as Grade 2 Titanium Hex Bar. A high temperature metal, in continuous service the material could be used up to a temperature of 800°F. But at intermittent service, the Titanium Grade 2 Bar is operational and performs well up to a temperature of 1000°F.
