Unlike Werkstoff Number 2.4858 Alloy 825 Round Bar, regular stainless steel or carbon steel alloys are not adept at the absorption of such elevated heat levels. They lose their mechanical properties. Yet, unlike regular steel alloys, the nickel alloy 825 Round Bar Stock can not only withstand such conditions but also work well here. Neither does their mechanical properties nor the corrosion resistance of the Alloy 825 Nickel Bright Bar face hindrance at such heat elevation levels. Ordinarily conventional stainless steels would witness an accelerated degeneration by oxidation. Unlike the aforementioned alloys, the nickel present in ASTM B425 Gr 825 Flat Bar slows down degeneration. Nickel forms a transparent, adhesive passivate oxide layer on the surface of the Alloy 825 Rods, thus, effectively slowing down corrosion.
