Like most austenitic stainless steel materials, the highly alloyed 6 Moly 254 SMO Rod is furnished with heat by annealing to improve its mechanical as well as corrosion resistance properties. Unlike other austenitic alloys, this material has the highest PREN value, making the ASTM A479 UNS S31254 a well suited solution to marine engineering applications.
